Dean Gera Salons is Malta's largest privately owned, multi-location hair salon company with outlets in Msida, Ibragg, Valletta, Floriana and Attard.
Our team consists of Junior Stylists, Stylists, Senior Stylists and Director Stylists, and is led by brother and sister duo Dean & Nicole Gera.
The salon business has been operating for the last ten years and has revolutionised the industry standard in Malta.

Kurt started with the company almost a decade ago, over which time he has completely transformed as a stylist and as a person. He started as an apprentice with a passion for barbering, but he quickly realised that he had to explore other areas of hairdressing and soon developed a passion for cutting, styling and colouring hair of all lengths. His leadership skills developed with time and he was asked to manage the salon he had started at, later moving to the Embassy Valletta salon where he still manages the team there. Kurt loves the Dean Gera brand and has always put time and dedication into all that he does in his pivotal role as a team leader and stylist, describing his colleagues as his second family.
After working at Mode hair salon with Dean and his mother, Noella explored different career paths but her love for hairdressing was not one she could suppress. After the Dean Gera brand was created, she contacted Dean to see whether there was an opening for a stylist and she was welcomed into the team. Incredibly hard-working and driven, Noella went from strength to strength and soon started to manage the salon and prove herself to be a great team player. She now manages the Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa salon where she imposes high standards and expects her incredibly capable team to follow suit.
Our longest-serving member of the team, Terri is, as they say, part of the furniture, having started back in 2010 as an apprentice. She is great with people and wonderful with colleagues, and holds a distinct passion for the company and all that it stands for. She has led the education team and programme over the past few years and thrives on the improvement and development she is witness to within the Academy, company and the stylists themselves. She loves the brand and what it represents, treating it as if it were her own.
Fabienne started with the Dean Gera brand as an apprentice at the Corinthia Palace Attard salon when she was still studying at MCAST. Her dedication towards her education journey with the company is what gave her the confidence to advance in her career, leading her to lead the Paola team as salon manager and later to co-manage our Msida salon, where you will currently find her. Driven and determined, she is passionate about supporting whoever forms part of her team to progress and deliver. She has six dogs and has competed in dog shows since she was about 7 years old, even representing Malta in dog shows in the UK twice!
Extremely driven and determined, Becky has worked her way up from a young junior stylist to a young salon manager. With wonderful people skills and a hunger that won't quit, she has proven herself to be a great team leader who radiates energy and constantly strives to better the company and the services offered to our clients. Becky also takes an active role in organising company events and get togethers. She can be heard a mile away with her wonderfully infectious laugh, possibly following one of her cheeky pranks that she's known to pull on her unsuspecting colleagues.
During her time with the company, Nicole has transformed both as an individual and as a stylist. She is a walking sponge, seeking to soak up any knowledge and advice that comes her way, driven to better herself and refine her skills and always showing gratitude for any chance to learn something new. She is the life and soul of every company party and get together and never shies away from a challenge or a bit of friendly competition during our team building events. As a stylist she's always happy to put in the time and effort necessary to give a stellar service and maintain the quality of the brand that she loves to be a part of.
Known for her calm and patient nature, Abigail was just 17 when she started working with Dean Gera, and instantly she felt that with this company she would be able to grow in her profession. The thing she most loves about hairdressing is that she is able to make her clients look and feel good. In her free time she enjoys cooking, making memories with her loved ones, and spending time with her dog.
Emma has always been a creative person, loving anything art-related at school and taking every opportunity to braid her classmates' hair. Whilst her leap into hairdressing was unsurprising to her, the passion she would have for the career was. She loves the confidence and empowerment that she can give to another person through her work, and feels she has a bit of a sixth sense when it comes to understanding what her clients need from her. When she's not in the salon she's usually cooking, drawing, reading, breaking a sweat at a CrossFit class or showing off her incredible set of pipes on a karaoke machine at our company get togethers.
Leandro, better known as Leo, came to Malta in 2019 all the way from Cuba where he was born and raised. He was looking for a new adventure and a change of scenery, and he fell in love with the island. Hairdressing allows him to express his creativity and make people happy; transforming someone’s appearance and boosting their confidence with a fresh style. He is friendly, outgoing and passionate and his ultimate goal at work is to have his clients walk out of the salon happy. When he's not at work he enjoys video games, a game of football or a good comedy show.
Ned started working with Dean Gera in 2016 after a classmate in his hairdressing course suggested he apply. Ned feels that he has grown so much not only in his technical skills, but also personally. Hairdressing gives him exciting daily challenges and keeps him motivated, driven and fulfilled. An added bonus for him is the great conversations he gets to have with his clients throughout the day. In his spare time Ned loves going to the gym, taking his dog on a long walk or hanging out with friends.
Nirvana's hair journey commenced at the age of 13, fuelled by an immense passion for hair. Her daily mission within the salon is to create soft blends and craft beautiful, low-maintenance hairstyles. She is able to troubleshoot hair issues and turn challenges into solutions, approaching each client's hair with precision and striving for nothing less than perfection. A fan of things being orderly, she admits to finding it harder to work when surrounded by mess, which is why her section is always wonderfully tidy. When not with a bowl of colour in her hands, she enjoys baking, reading, watching a good series or listening to a great podcast.
