Oana
Mullet Mention
Our very own stylist and educator from our Msida salon, Oana Barbu, was recently quoted in a Times of Malta article about the comeback of the mullet; a hairstyle that was popular in the 80s in which the hair is cut shorter at the front, top and sides, but is longer at the back. Oana explained that “the style gained ground as an act of expressing rebellion within creative circles, alternative fashion lovers and the queer community”, and that it became more normalised after popular celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Rihanna went for a feminine mullet.
